Mission and Objectives
The JID's mission consists of:
- Supporting Jordan's diplomacy by training diplomats capable of effectively executing their tasks, and of representing Jordan politically, economically, and culturally with rationality and courage based on knowledge, awareness, and faith in the country's national policies and its Arab and Islamic identity;
- Preparing diplomats' spouses and others working in the areas of international relations and communication by providing them with the necessary skills plus theoretical and practical knowledge through courses of study as well as special training programs;
- Conducting, documenting, and publishing research and studies in local, regional, and international affairs in their diplomatic, political, economic, social, cultural, legal, media, and tourism dimensions;
- Helping support political and strategic decision makers with policy options, ideas, research and studies to guide national policies;
- Designing, updating, and implementing courses in diplomacy in its political, economic, legal, and protocol dimensions, and strategic and international affairs, to suit the evolving needs of those working in diplomacy and their spouses;
- Contributing to Arab and international political and strategic thought and highlighting the contributions of Arab and Islamic civilizations in international affairs;
- Helping support and promote Jordanian policies in diplomacy and international relations;
- Contributing to the enrichment of a national dialogue on foreign policy;
- Contributing to the development of international relations systems and enhancing communication and exchanges of information in the areas of strategic, diplomatic, and international studies;
- Organizing conferences, seminars, colloquia, and workshops and taking part in local and international scientific conferences and forums related to the objectives of the Institute;
