The JID hosted a delegation from Princeton University

Following an initiative by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Salaheddin Bashir, the Jordan Institute of Diplomacy hosted a delegation from Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs on Sunday, July 27th with the intent of establishing a partnership between the two institutions.

Representatives of the prestigious university, Ambassador Barbara Bodine and Acting Dean Professor Nolan McCarty, met with Dr Salaheddin Bashir and Ambassador Hussein Hammami, President of the Jordan Institute of Diplomacy, and discussed the establishment of a training program of advanced studies in international affairs.

This program would be designed to prepare participants for careers in diplomacy and leadership roles in government and international organizations and would cover a variety of themes and subjects, including international and public policy, economics and trade affairs, and area studies and would allow participants to hone their writing skills as well as negotiation tactics, communication methods, and conflict resolution.

The program would be based at the JID and taught by highly qualified academics from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University, high-ranking diplomats, and distinguished experts from Jordan and around the world.
