[12-16/02/2012]Advanced Training on Humanitarian Law and Policy

For the Sixth year in a row, The Core Professional Training on Humanitarian Law & Policy, and, Thematic Workshop on Islamic Law and Protection of Civilians, conducted by Professionals in Humanitarian Assistance and Protection (PHAP), Brussels-Belgium and Program on Humanitarian Policy and Conflict Resolution (HPCR) at Harvard University, in cooperation with JID began its activities on February, 12 and lasted till February 16, 2012.
The training course dealt with arrays of topics related to International Humanitarian Law (actors, modes and methods of implementation of IHL) and the policy and practical dilemmas associated with the mentioned activities as well as the interrelationship with Human Rights Law.
The courses consisted of 40 participants each, from different nationalities and various backgrounds, in which IHL is very much pertinent to their field of work. Dr. Hassan Momani, Director RCCP, on behalf of Dr. Nawayseh the Acting President of JID, Naz Modirzadeh Associate Director/PHAP, and Angharad Laing Executive Director/PHAP welcomed the participants.
